Cleavers Recipes
Cleavers are a great way to help cleanse your lymphatic system after the winter. They are such a spring tonic, yet they look quite hard to use to the untrained eye.
With that in mind, here is my way of using cleavers. (Your body will thank you for it).
Please do share these with your friends, and also tag me in photos of your creations, or add a link to your social media post in the comments below. I love to see how you are empowering yourself to be healthy.

To Prepare Your Cleavers
Pick the plant, brush off any stray blossom petals that may be about, or ther plant matter (they are a bit velcro like, so other plant matter may stick to it). Then wash and pat dry.
Sweet Cleavers Juice
This is a variant of several recipes that I have seen, though with the twist of using sweet potato instead of regular white or red potato.
I like to work with inspiration rather than a fixed idea of specific quantities or ingredients. So please do relax and enjoy making this highly nutritious beverage.
Cleavers has a mild cucumber flavour
Ingredients
A handful of cleavers (prepared and washed)
Apple Juice
You will also need a pestle and mortar or similar and a sieve or mesh mylk straining bag or similar.
Method
Pop the cleavers in the pestle and mortar and grind up for a bit. You will find a green residue on the bowl, and may find some green liquid too.
Pour in some apple juice. Stir it around a bit, then place the sieve / mesh bag over a jug and pour the mixture in to separate the liquids from the solids. If your cleavers looks fleshy still, you can repeat the same process.
Add a little more apple juice if desired. The apple juice will have a green taint to it.
Enjoy.

Cleavers Water
This is the recipe I shared in my video. To watch it, please click here.
Ingredients
Freshly picked, sorted and washed cleavers
Water
You will also need a jug / mason jar with lid for this, and if you want to add the detail I did in my video, a sharpie or acrylic pen too!
Method
Place your prepared cleavers in a clean jug or mason jar.
Pour on water
If you want to add additional healing properties to your cleavers water, write a healing phrase on the outside of your jar. For example, heal.
Allow the water to infuse for a while, or if you want to get full benefit, pop in the fridge and allow to infuse for up to 24 hours before drinking.
The refreshing water has a subtle taste of cucumber to it.

If you want to add extra dynamics to your water, use Analemma to structure your water before adding to the cleavers.
