Millet Porridge
Breakfast is a really important meal of the day, and should ideally not be skipped. If you want to eat gluten free, or perhaps just increase the number of gluten free meals in your diet, this easy to make breakfast may just be the ticket.
Ingredients
1/2 cup millet flakes
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 eating apple grated
1 1/2 cup apple juice (if you enjoy milk or plant mylk, then use 1 1/2 cups of that)
To garnish - I used frozen raspberries and bee pollen.
Method
Pop all of your ingredients in a pan on a low heat and stir occassionally (millet likes some time to soak).
When it is thich and creamy, it is ready to eat. Pour into your bowl and garnish with your favourite toppings.
Using apple juice makes the porridge naturally sweet, so I find so additional sweetness is needed.
enjoy!
