GUEST BOOK
What some of my guests think.....
Forest School
A beautiful setting
A calming retreat
Sat around the fire
With a log for a seat.
Time to relax
If just for a while
Having a chat
Sharing a smile.
Weaving some willow
Twisting into shape
Tying some string
Dream catchers to make.
Precious time to just be you
Precious time to just be me
Precious time to re align
So we can be the best we can be.
A massive thank you to this lovely guest - I really apprecaite how the session helped her relax and connect with herself.

Thank you so much for today. I lit a fire using Dragon’s Sneeze flint stone 🐉, toasted a marshmallow, made a rather misshapen wreath with fresh willow and clambered up on top of a hay bale. All to a backdrop of quails wandering around, buzzards overhead in a pure blue sky and dragonflies sunbathing on tree stumps next to us 😍
This was written by a lovely creative lady, who had so many firsts at the session.

We had a fabulous morning foraging with Dawn Waterhouse
We learnt so much about the hedgerows.
The Rose hip vinegar and Sloe Gin we made tasted amazing.
I’d highly recommend everyone books on to join this experience.

Thank you so much for the foraging tour today Dawn, I learned so much and am grateful for the way you conducted the tour with it being a large group.
It was the best day out I've had in a long time.

"....... didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to Forest school, we had Marshmallowy snacks from the fire ......."
Feedback from a Corporate Crabbing event (please note, the medal was created and provided by the Corporation booking the event, a nice touch.
Your Forest School sessions are wonderful - just turn up to your chosen session and all you need is there, with excellent instruction on the activity in question. Shame the tide and the crabs weren't too co-operative today, but just being on the marsh in the sunshine and the peace was enough! I came home relaxed and mentally peaceful! Thank you Dawn for a lovely morning, can't wait for the next workshop. J
(on this occasion the tide was lower than predicted by the tide table, but we still caught some wonderful creatures, watched the tide come in, and go out, and enjoyed the song of nature - and so much more!)

"Fun, I completely switched off and felt like a child again - free and no responsibilities.
I was physically present - yesterday I dissociated because of everything that was happening - today was just what I needed"
"I needed this more than ever this week - lovely place and beautiful scenery."
"It was lovely to see and hear birds (and crabs) up close and not think about the day to day routine of caring. Lots of laughter - thank you"

From a Corporate organised Marsh Plant ID and Forage Session
Thank you so much for organizing this forest school session Amanda.
Picking the individual stems of samphire and the individual sea purslane leaves really slowed down time to that specific moment where the focus was on the tactile feel of the plants. I felt a connection to a slower way of life, and a tradition of harvesting foods.
It was wonderful to breathe in the aromas of the plants and the salt marshes, and to enjoy the warm hug of the sun on my skin and the bounce of the vegetation underfoot.
Thinking of the salt marsh as a living organism that changes over time helped me to reflect on humans in relation to nature, and the different timescales of a human life compared with the timescale of geological change in the natural world.
It is comforting to think of how, after death, the physical body breaks down and is absorbed back into nature to become part of the landscape. This again created a sense of connection with the physical world.
Also, I absolutely loved eating the sea purslane leaves and the sea samphire, both raw and cooked!
Thank you
