Vaccinating or not – there are challenges
Please do not quote this article in part – it is to be read as a whole and is not to be misrepresented.
Every week I am contacted by individuals wanting to know if I am able to help them, my answer is always the same. I cannot guarantee to help you – but I will do my best, would you like a short chat about how I work and see if that feels right for you. At no point do I ever tell my clients what they must do, or recommend they do not follow the medical professions advice, that is their choice to research and make a decision that feels right for them.
In over twenty years of clinical practice, I have dealt with so many honest individuals – however this week – I am saddened to say that someone pretended to be a father of a one month old baby and wanted to know how I could help him with homeoprophylaxis.
Every conversation I have with clients or prospective clients is confidential. It was heartbreaking to receive an email from Alexi Mostrous at the Times to inform me of some brief notes of a half hour conversation we had (that was not the name he gave me).
At no point had I been aware of the fact that I was speaking to a reporter – so I feel heads up for an acting award to him. I also appreciate the time taken to write to me with a summary of what he wanted to use … though disappointingly, every comment was misquoted. There is a huge feeling of privacy invasion and a betrayal of trust. Sadly, he also failed to respond to my return email, which I sent within a very reasonable time frame. So in short – there are many aspects of his code of conduct that have been broken.
The article started with a comment about how I feel homeopathic vaccines is the best form of protection – I spent the half hour talking about how homeoprophylaxis is not an alternative to vaccination – not vaccinating is a lifestyle choice that requires sincere responsibility for the health of your child…ongoing review of their dietary needs and a willingness to use a wide range of complementary support. I also educate parents on when they need to seek medical professional help.
I am also sad that one ingredient in vaccines I misnamed (it was the end of a long day for me and as I was having a chat with a father of a one month old – there appeared to be an understanding of what tired was). I apologised during the conversation for the misnaming – that misnamed ingredient was used in the quotes sent to me. There were lots of other issues….I question why someone wants to use another and twist and misrepresent a professional… that is a negative trait one should not be proud of.
The summary of our conversation was so pointed to represent a profession incorrectly – this (and deceit) is against the code of conduct for journalists… and I have sought professional advice.
But this is not really why I want to write – I do not want a sympathy vote, or a huge outcry …. We are all aware of the issues with journalism and skewed reporting. My issue is that of fear, and how our country is being divided time and time again by media with a hidden agenda poking and provoking.
There is a massive fear of the unknown … which is natural… so we have fear on so many levels, fear of so many political issues, fear of extinction, fear of vaccinations, fear of non-vaccinators... the list could go on.
What we do not have is the wisdom or growth mindset within our communities to speak responsibly to others, to overcome our own fear, see past, learn and educate ourselves about the other side.
If someone chooses not to vaccinate – that is entirely up to them. A non-vaccinating parent will need to take full responsibility and receive grief from many walks of life about their life choice. They will have read well on all arguments they can find and be prepared to stand up for their beliefs. If you believe in vaccination theory, a non-vaccinated child will not be an issue as the vaccinated child will be protected. If you are fearful that a vaccinated child’s health is at risk, do your research and work out what is weak within your child’s immune system, help them to be healthy with diet, nutrition, herbs and whatever support you feel is right for your child.
If someone chooses to vaccinate that is entirely their own responsibility – there are risks, as there are with any medical intervention, but they have to be responsible and educate themselves about that. They should still consider healthy diet, sufficient rest and sleep, lifestyle etc.… Does vaccinating alone protect your child’s health? I will let you research widely and explore that concept for yourself.
What do we all need to do? We all need to sit and consider how to bring ourselves together, to accept each other for who we are – to live with each other and accept that different is okay. How can we keep our freedom of choice – how can we all be?
This infighting is weakening the human race – we are inflating stress that does not need to be there – and we all know that stress is one of the causes of disease – the one thing this whole report is based upon.
So if you vaccinate … or do not vaccinate… please take a moment to go and speak kindly to a person who holds the opposite opinion. Openly and without negativity explore what they do and why. Do not take your conversation to the press or bad places – respect with love and support that we all deserve the right to do what is right for our life. We all have the right to informed consent, rather than an indoctrinated view. We lose one freedom at a time, and whilst today might be someone else’s freedom, tomorrow it may be yours!
